About us

People can not be developed; they can only develop themselves. For a while it is possible for an outsider to build a man’s house, an outsider cannot give the man pride and self. Confidence in him for human being .Those things a man has to create in himself by his own actions. He develop himself by what he does; he develop himself by making his own decisions, by increasing his understanding of what he is doing and why, by increasing his own knowledge and ability and by his own full participation –as an equal in the life of the community he lives in .This becomes more fruitful when this self development process start from the beginning.

Stepping into the twenty- first Century, one cannot but be amazed at the spectacular achievements of the world community .The development sector has undergone major upheavals with little impact on the quality of life of the poor. In the maze, it is gratifying to come across small groups of committed people and die-hard optimist within mainstream institution who have been trying to make a difference. Those involved in social mobilization for change have tried to create people’s organization with a view to enabling them to negotiate in this unequal world from a position of strength.

However perched on the same threshold, Gramodya Samajik Sansthan since its inception has taken this into account and spontaneously dealing with the persistent poverty, high level of morbidity and mortality, illiteracy, medieval social practices that confine three -fourth Indian to clearly demarcated spaces.

We have focused our efforts in the key areas of:

  • Health
  • Telemedicine (First Ngo in Rajasthan
  • Education
  • Sustainable Livelihood
  • Natural Resource Management
  • WASH
  • Women Empowerment
  • Child Rights
  • Youth Development
  • Rural Electrification
  • Digital Empowerment of rural households

Aligning our efforts with government and CSR initiatives, we have strived to create a platform for underprivileged communities to achieve sustainable development

As we look to the future, we see great possibilities in the creation of sustainable models for development. In convergence with governmental as well as non governmental entities, we aim to bring about a wave of transformation that will empower the rural communities of India with the power of hope and also the ability to realize their dream.
